  • Patch of Land: Patch of Land focuses mostly on short-term debt on residential (and occasionally commercial) properties. Latest update: No change. Ranked "On probation (due to investor alleged complaints)" and 3 stars out of 10. Read the full review.

  • Arbor Crowd: ArborCrowd is a relative newcomer to the rankings that specializes in multifamily (apartment) commercial real estate (CRE) deals. Private Investor Club welcomes 5,600th member and now over $12.8 billion+.

The club is a place where investors can source deals and sponsors they would never find on their own, discuss and do group due diligence, and also benefit from millions of dollars of special deals that sponsors have given club members. Membership in the club is free, but requires verification that the investor has no ties to platforms or sponsors. It was very nice to see that we're now over 5,600 members with over $12.8 billion in investable assets. Welcome new members! And on behalf of the club, thank you to those who have referred their family and friends. Click here for more info on the club.

Deep-dive on my 7 figure alternative investment portfolio

My defensive portfolio enjoyed an exceptional year (returning 41.32% including 7.37% in income). Not every year will be this good, so I'll enjoy it when I can. In comparison the stock market dropped -3.35%, bonds fell -10% and bitcoin plummeted -33.87%. Here's an in-depth look at my portfolio strategy, allocations, deal by deal performance, tax considerations and future strategy.
